A Search for H2CO 6cm Emission toward Young Stellar Objects III: VLA Observations
We report the results of our third survey for formaldehyde (H2CO) 6 cm maser emission in the Galaxy. Using the Very Large Array, we detected two new H2CO maser sources (G23.01−0.41 and G25.83−0.18), thus increasing the sample of known H2CO maser regions in the Galaxy to seven. We review the characteristics of the G23.01−0.41 and G25.83−0.18 star forming regions. The H2CO masers in G23.01−0.41 a...
متن کاملVLA observations of 6-cm excited OH
The VLA was used to determine precise positions for 4765-MHz OH maser emission sources toward star-forming regions which had been observed about seven months earlier with the Effelsberg 100-meter telescope. The observations were successful for K3-50, DR21EX, W75N, and W49A. No line was detected toward S255: this line had decreased to less than 5 per cent of the flux density observed only seven ...
متن کاملChandra Observations of Embedded Young Stellar Objects
This paper reviews the results of the Chandra deep exposure observations on star forming regions. The ρ Ophiuchi (ρ Oph) cloud cores B-F reveal ∼ 100 X-ray sources above the detection limit of ∼10 ergs s. About 2/3 of the X-ray sources are identified with an optical and/or infrared (IR) object, including significant numbers of class I sources. The class I sources exhibit higher temperature plas...
متن کاملPolarimetry of young stellar objects { III
We present the rst imaging circular polarimetry of the Orion Molecular Cloud, OMC-1. The observations, taken in the J , H , K n and nbL bands, reveal a complex pattern of circular polarisation. Globally, there is a background circular polarisation of the order of 2 percent in the K n band, conforming to the typical quadrupolar patterns that have been observed in other outtow sources. Overlaying...
متن کاملA search for disks around massive young stellar objects
We present subarcsecond observations at 2.7 and 1.4 mm of a sample of massive young stellar objects made with the BIMA millimetre array. For most sources the continuum emission on the smallest scales at 2.7 mm is dominated by free-free emission from the stellar wind or jet. Strong emission at 1.4 mm shows the presence of significant dust associated with Cep A and GL 490 but our resolution is no...
